Where does my Drulov Easgle Sit in the Rifle Comps?Having now got the Eagle I'm looking for every excuse I can find to shoot it . I'd like to use it in one/some of the rifle comps but I'm getting a bit confused over which ones its applicable for.
As far as I can see I could enter:
Police Rifle Sniper (6yrd - open sights) and/or Assault? (as its a multishot). Can I use the same rifle for both classes? :?
"Modern" target class in the Vintage & Open comp.
Regarding the Modern class do I shoot this as 10m (same as my scoped TX200) or 6yrds as it only has open sights? :?
Any thoughts ??

From the UBC competition website
Vintage and open rules:-
"Type Open Class Rifle: Spring / Single /Multi Stroke Pneumatic / Co2 Competitors can have as many rifles, as long the Air Rifles are classed as a 'Plinker' & not a target style based Rifle. You can submit as many air guns within the competition date. "
I'd say the Eagle was not eligible for this one.
"Type modern Target Rifle: Spring / Single /Multi Stroke Pneumatic / Co2 / PCP Competitors can have as many rifles, as long the Air Rifles are classed as a modern target style based Rifle. You can submit as many air guns within the competition date. "
I'd say the Eagle was eligible for this one.
But Paddy will be the final arbitrator, although with his internet problems you may not get an answer too soon.

Totally agree . My main question was in the modern target class is everything is at 10m or, as it states further down the rules page, open sights 6yrds. 10m is fine by me as, from my experience so far with the eagle, i could probably score more with its open sights than with my scoped tx200

No idea to be honest. Its not one of the later ones that I've seen pictures of on the web which appear to have a scope rail and adjustable cheek piece. As far as I have been able to find out the production of the Eagle started sometime in the 1990's so not in the vintage class either.

Hi
As it is classed as a target rifle and it is past the 1986 rule. It can onpy be entered in the 10m Target scoped. However I may open it up for open sights for you.
As for Police Rifle you can enter your drulov in all categories aslong as you put a scope for the 10m

No worries.
I will change the 10m target to open sight and optical, as soon as i can.
then we can see if you are more accurate with the du10 eagle rhan your scoped Tx.

I can almost guarantee that I'm more accurate with the Eagle. The TX200 is a great springer but the weight goes against it when shooting from a standing position (prone or kneeling is fine). Must need to work out more
