I  have an itch to buy an air pistol and it needs scratching . I am a South African living in Wales (we are taking over the world ) . I work for my local council and make knives in my spare time , but I feel the need for a new hobby , the last fire arm I owned was an Astra 357 magnum (they wouldnt let me bring it with me when I moved over )

anyway I am looking for info on air pistols for some light back yard plinking

Welcome aboard Warren,

Glad you said you were from SA Smilie_PDT Got way too many inmates from the South Wales area! I think they are trying to take over the place myself Smilie_PDT

I'd really like to see some of your knives if you have any images?
I hace a friend, who at the end of this month buggers off to warmer shores. He may be an excentric old kraught, but he's a master knife maker and an amazing Game cook Smilie_PDT

Again, welcome to the asylum Smilie_PDT

Tony

Welcome Warren; definately .357 magnums are not popular in the uk, makes the politicians sweat! Smilie_PDT

Hello Warren,

and welcome to the forum.

The first air pistol I would buy, if I had to start over, would be a Weihrauch HW40.

A quality gun that can be used time ad time again, and will be more than adequate for a lot of the UBC competitions.

After that I'd get a Smith and Wesson 586 in 6", and then a CP88 in 4"

Kind regards,

Phil
